Many plants are dangerous for dogs, I just listed what is considered the most dangerous ones for dogs, and most of them for people too!

You’ll see that many of these plants are found in gardens as ornamental plants, and as plants inside our homes.

2.  Narcissus(daffodils): Their bulbs are very toxic and can be confused with small onions. (recently made the news because it sickened a group of school children in England after a bulb was added to their soup mistakenly).

3.  Rhododendron:  Toxic to most pets and grazing animals too.  It is so toxic, people can get sick from the honey bees make from its nectar!

4.  Lily-of-the-valley: Very highly poisonous, 38 different cardiac glycosides have been found in the plant.

5.  Hydrangea: toxic if eaten, sometimes smoked as an intoxicant.

6.  Foxglove: contains several deadly toxins and has earned the nickname “Dead Man’s Bells.”

7.  Monkshood:  Although vomiting and other gastrointestinal signs are seen first, death usually occurs from asphyxia.
